DeadHeart Mare concept art

At long last, I have finally found a little time to finish the conceptual art of my OC, DeadHeart Mare. Her colors were chosen because my name is BrandiWyne (hence the dark wine color) my favorite color is green and my natural haircolor is black. She wears LoliGoth or Victorian style accessories because that's what I'd wear ALL THE TIME if it were socially acceptable and my wallet could afford it. She makes & sells jewelry in her dark little shop in Canterlot. She has a black cat named Onyx (artwork pending) & frequently has 'cat dates' over tea with Rarity & Opal. Please let me explain that she is not an Alicorn, or a Thestral, DeadHeart is a form of Vampony brought on as a side effect of being bitten by a whole horde of happiness-sucking, cave-dwelling critters that I haven't quite perfected the name of yet. Anyhoo, long story short, she goes into a cave protected by these little buggers after an enchanted crystal to give to her Love, the pegasus Shard. She gets the crystal but is engulfed by these cave creatures which sends the crystal flying towards the cave's entrance where Shard is standing. Shard is entranced by the enchanted crystal & it entices him to claim it as his powerful new horn which he then flies off with.. leaving his mate engulfed in soul-sucking creatures. By this point, the cave creatures have sucked every drop of happiness, positivity & vital essence from her body, leaving her appearance changed by the lack of 'life essence'. She now dons the wings, fangs & eyes of the creatures and they disperse after having drunk her dry. Having lost all positive memories & experiences, she is left with no Cutie Mark, however, upon discovering her mate's betrayal, she receives a new one.
I'm no awesome fanfic writer so I think the backstory needs a little work.. I'm certainly open to suggestions on how to improve the story if anyone is inclined! Also, fanart of DeadHeart is not only welcomed but highly encouraged! I would be ecstatic to see some DeadHeart from the Brony community!
